QuatreCoeur is the work of two friends (Ruth Muzio and
Amanda Peters) who share a love for flowers and plants that are
just a little bit unusual, things that are made by hand, and
containers that are out of the ordinary. The flowers are hand
selected, and always fresh and seasonal. We specialize in
creative arrangements and botanical design that are simple and
elegant. Please feel free to call or email us at anytime to set
up an appointment. We are available for any and all of your
floral needs, whether a simple arrangement, a wedding, a dinner
party or a special event.
Amanda Peters
Growing up in Wyoming, Amanda had a hands-on learning experience
with flora and fauna. While working on the family farm she
developed a deep respect for nature and grew to love all things
floral and botanical. Inspired by her childhood, Amanda
incorporates a sense of discovery into her designs. Amanda
learned the how-to’s of floral design at a high-end boutique
florist in New York.
With no floral design experience she was thrown
into the deep end of the pool, but soon felt at home amongst the
flowers and she knew this was her calling.
Ruth Muzio
Ruth studied fine arts at The Cooper Union and before that at
LaGuardia High School of Music, Art & Performing Arts,
ultimately finding her creative calling in the exciting world of
weddings & events in NYC. As a child she could usually be found
somewhere drawing, playing dress-up and watching Fred Astaire
movies with her grandparents. In school, her focus continued to
be drawing portraits, figure studies & oil painting with
additional interests in art history, fashion and English
literature. Ruth began studying floral design in 2002 at a small
boutique in the West Village. She went on to work with some of
New York's most talented event designers. She loves watching a
sophisticated art deco inspired party come to life in a
Manhattan loft one week and an ethereal farm wedding in
Connecticut the next. Ruth has worked with stylists and florists
on photo shoots at Martha Stewart Weddings magazine and on
countless high-profile events. She began selling her exquisite
hand made cards and items to floral designers and on Etsy in
2008.
Today, Amanda, & Ruth, are pursuing their life-long
dream of owning their own business. Two friends with two
different styles that come together harmoniously to create
unforgettable designs. |
